LOHS Teacher of the Year Nominations

Dear LOHS Families,

Here at LOHS we are very proud of the many dedicated and outstanding teachers that work very hard for the success of our students.  This is the time of year where we work with Oakland Schools and select a Lake Orion High School teacher as our 'Teacher of the Year'.  This year we would love to have input from our families as we select our award winner.

Below is a link that will gather information that is necessary for the selection committee.  If you believe a LOHS teacher has gone above and beyond for your child and/or family, we ask that you please complete the questions and short essay by January 19th.

Thank you for your assistance in helping us to recognize our outstanding staff members for the great work they do.

SAT Test Preparation Presentions held during P/T Conferences SAT Test Preparation Presentations

During Parent/Teacher conferences there will be a special presentation held in the LOHS auditorium.    From 4:30 – 5pm and again from 6:30 – 7pm, on the evening of parent-teacher conferences, administrators and counselors will be providing an informative presentation on SAT test preparation.  This information is extremely useful and has proven to increase a student’s score on the important SAT assessment that students take during their Junior year of high school.  As you are probably aware, the SAT is an important component of successful college admission and we are very excited to share this information.
