2nd Grade

Hello! I am Mrs. Karen Henmueller.  I began my teaching career in 2004 at Stadium Drive and have enjoyed every minute here.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a focus in Language Arts from Oakland University.  I have also received a Masters in Teaching degree from Marygrove University.  I am currently working on taking more education courses in order to further my knowledge in the teaching profession.   I have taught both second and third grade over the past nine years and have been teaching second grade for the last four years.  Stadium Drive is a wonderful community to be a part of and I wouldn’t want to be any other place!

I have been married for 29 years and I have two wonderful children, ages 27 and 21.  A new addition to our family came along two years ago as I had my first grand-child, who I try to spend as much time with as possible.  I also have three pets, two cats and one dog that are also a wonderful part of our family.  I enjoy travelling, reading, and spending time at our cabin on Lake Huron.

I have been fortunate to be a part of the Stadium Drive Family for 16 years. I love teaching second graders. The favorite part of the day is when a child's eyes light up because they have made a new discovery. I have a strong love for reading. It is my goal to help students find the joy and adventure that is waiting for them in a book.

Hello!  I'm Ms. Carrie Price and I have been a second grade teacher at Stadium Drive for over 10 years.  Not only am I a teacher here, but I'm also a parent.  There is no other school like Stadium Drive.  I feel so lucky to be a part of the Stadium Drive family.

Second grade is such an amazing age group to teach.  I love exploring many interesting authors, illustrators, and stories with the kids.  I work to help the students become amazing writers, from voicing their opinion to telling stories from all the important things that happen in their own lives.  Children become magnificent mathematicians who can solve big and small problems.  I love to make learning come alive for second graders so we do many hands-on science experiments and even get involved in our own Lake Orion Community in many amazing ways.

When I'm not busy teaching, I'm busy enjoying my wonderful family.  I have two amazing sons, Shawn and T.J. We always have great adventures together.  We love to camp and once traveled out west in a camper for 28 days. We also participate each year in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event.  If we're not on a wild adventure you'll find us enjoying baseball, swimming, or reading!
