5th Grade

Welcome to room 210! My name is Miss Williams and I am thrilled to be teaching at Stadium Drive Elementary this year. First, let me tell you a little about myself. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Elementary Education. This past year, I was an intervention teacher in Walled Lake and a literacy educator at Sunshine Academy, a summer program, helping students to further develop their reading and writing skills. I taught 5th grade in Lake Orion in 2012 and am ecstatic to be back!

Fifth grade is full of so many memorable experiences! Some of my favorites include the fifth grade production, jet car building, and the fifth grade field trip.

Hi! Thanks for visiting my page. I love teaching fifth grade at Stadium Drive Elementary School of the Arts! I have been teaching here since September of 2000. I earned my undergraduate degree at Western Michigan University, and my graduate degree at Oakland University. I believe in a classroom community based on mutual respect and active learning. I enjoy all subjects, but my favorite is reading. I love creating things, being active, and learning new skills. My favorite classroom moments happen when students are fully engaged in meaningful and purposeful thinking. I enjoy big projects, group work, and allowing students to experience learning through real-life examples. I enjoy the daily challenges and joys that come with educating the children of our community.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Sarah Weingartz. I love teaching at Stadium Drive! I taught fifth grade here at Stadium Drive in 2010 and then I taught second and fourth grade at Paint Creek Elementary. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in education from the University of Michigan – Flint. I am currently working on my Master’s Degree from Marygrove College, which focuses on elementary reading and literacy.

I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in second grade! I hope that I am able to spark student interest and enjoyment of learning similar to my experience in elementary school. In my classroom, we work hard at building a community in which everyone feels comfortable with each other and the task at hand. I enjoy watching children grow as individual learners throughout the school year. The best part about teaching is when a student has an “ah-ha” moment and truly understands something new.
