The Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Blanche Sims! Students will preview the fair on Wednesday, March 21st & Thursday, March 22nd. Students can shop during conferences Thursday, March 22nd and Tuesday, March 27th or during their regularly scheduled media time.

Lake Orion Community Schools will be closed on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, due to inclement weather and problematic road conditions. The status of activities and athletics will be determined on Monday.

Scholastic Book Fair Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair will be at Blanche Sims November 9th - 16th.

Students will preview the fair on November 9th & 10th.

The fair will be open for shopping November 13th - November 16th during conferences, and students can shop during their regular media time.

Distinguished Service Award J Potter

Jill Potter, Stadium Drive kindergarten interventionist, selected as distinguished service award winner for the Northeast Quadrant in the County. This award, established in 1990, recognizes the many contributions support persons make in the learning community in Oakland County. Jill will receive a $500 cash award from the Oakland Schools Education Foundation and framed certificate of recognition which will be presented at our June 13th Board of Education meeting.   MORE INFO

Popsicles with Mr. Nuss

Tuesday, August 29 at 6:30pm

All members of the family are welcome to share a popcicle on the playground. Any interested parents can stay for the first PTO meeting of the school year. Childcare will be provided. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Elementary school meet and greets this week, on Aug. 30 Elementary, middle schools open for visitors one day in late August

A number of Lake Orion Community Schools will host a meet and greet opportunity for the students before the school year begins. It is an opportunity for the students to get familiar with their building before the first day.

Summer school began at Webber Elementary on July 10 and is continuing through Aug. 3.

Kindergarten Kick Off

Blanche Sims will host Kindergarten Kick Off  which begins Tuesday, August 1st and continues until August 17th.

Class meets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Please send your child with a backpack, a healthy snack, and a water bottle.
