Lake Orion Community Schools recognizes that schools are subject to a number of potentially disruptive events, including major crises. Being prepared for crises can enhance the district's effectiveness in being proactive and responding to incidents when necessary.
In addition to each school/program having their own specific safety plan, LOCS maintains a district wide safety committee which works collaboratively with local responders to ensure that we remain prepared for any emergency. In the case of a pandemic illness, LOCS maintains a partnership with the Oakland County Health Department. These working relationships ensure that all of the students and staff of LOCS remain as safe as possible. |
