LOHS Forensics has a great day at Frankenmuth


The Lake Orion High School Forensic team competed at the Frankenmuth Invitational on Sat., Feb. 24, finding both individual and team success.

There were 10 individual finalists for the team.

Finishing in second were senior Talia Summerville, in Storytelling, and junior Hanna Kipp, in Poetry. 

Third place finishes went to freshman Brendan Franz, Broadcasting, and sophomore Mackenzie Harwood, Sales.

Sophomore Ava Iulianelli, Impromptu 9/10; freshman Lily Woityra, Prose; junior Megan Gibb, Storytelling; and freshman Lady Mason, Poetry, placed fourth place in their respective categories.

Lastly, freshmen Roman Gaskey placed fifth in Impromptu 9/10 and Madison Carico took sixth in Storytelling 9/10.

Overall, the team, coached by LOHS teachers Lindsay Finkbeiner and Cathy Srock and assisted by alumnus Will Mason, placed second in their division and will travel to Avondale next Saturday for their next competition.
