Oakview School Photo Information

Please note that this URL is for Oakview Middle it is school specific and NOT  a district wide URL as package contents may vary between schools.  (i.e. – Yearbooks, class picture, etc.)

General online shoppers go thru our www.geskusphoto.com website and the shopper is required to enter in their school webcode 1586QFWNAOAYSO prior to viewing package contents and pricing.  However with your unique URL link, the shopper bypasses the school webcode portion and immediately is redirected to their schools ordering page.  The other unique thing with using the URL link is the option to download and print a school specific ordering form.

Please note your schools unique URL link will NOT BE ACTIVE UNTIL WEDNESDAY, JULY 5, 2017.  So please do not activate or email out the link prior as it will NOT work.

Superintendent forming LO Legislative Advocacy Committee Lake Orion Community Schools

More legislative actions are having an effect on the financing of our schools, as well as  various aspects of our instructional programs. It is important that our legislators learn the effects, both positive and negative, that their decisions are ultimately having on our students. While educators meet and communicate with our legislators, it is important that they hear from all of our stakeholders. I am inviting members of our community to be a part of a Lake Orion Legislative Advocacy Committee.

If you have an interest in participating in this important initiative, we ask that you complete a short survey indicating your interest and level of preferred involvement. The survey will remain open for two weeks (until April 28). Our goal is to have a broad representation of stakeholders; parents, educators and community members. CLICK HERE to access the survey. Thank you in advance for considering to be a member of the LO Legislative Advocacy Committee.

Do you have a Screenager? Find out on April 24 Screenagers
Do you find that your student is using a cell phone or playing video games more and more each day? Are they continuously checking their social media? Are they losing sleep or having difficulties paying attention because of these distractions? Are you getting phone calls from the teacher because of too much cell phone usage in the classroom? If you answered yes to any other these questions, then Screenagers is a movie you need to see.
On April 24 at 7:00 p.m., the Lake Orion High School PTO will be sponsoring a viewing of Screenagers. This is a documentary about teenagers and the challenges parents face with cell phones, video games and/or technology. The event is open to the entire district. CLICK HERE for a preview!

Students from Lake Orion’s Scripps and Oakview Middle Schools will be participating in the FIRST Tech Challenge North Super-Regional robotics tournament this weekend in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The teams qualified for the Super-Regional event after several months of community robotics meets. Scripps and Oakview will be competing against some 70 teams from 14 states in Iowa - all playing for a spot in the World Championship in St. Louis later this year. Working with their mentors, students designed and built a robot that uses cellphone technology, as well as metal gears, motors, sensors and game controllers. The robots will compete in the Velocity Vortex, an action-packed game that pits machines against one another in a test of precision and speed.
