A Makerfair is an event during which students explore using Science, Technology, Engineering, and Art. Stations will include, but are not be limited to, creating derby cars and racing them, using metal casting to create jewelry, using chemistry to create bouncy balls and/or lava lamps, computer coding, virtual reality, knitting, and much, much more.
Students in grades 3-8 are welcome to attend Lake Orion High School’s Makerfair on Saturday, Feb. 10. Three sessions are being offered: 9-10:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m.-12 p.m., and 12:45-2 p.m. The fee for attendance is $5 per student per session. You may sign up for more than one session if you would like more time for you child(ren) to explore and create. The event will take place at Lake Orion High School. Children in grades 3-5 must be accompanied by an adult.
